Jotword launches publicly
Jotword, a vocabulary app that turns the words a learner adds into flashcards, is generally available at jotword.com. AI writes each card, and spaced repetition brings it back for review before the word is forgotten.
A learner adds a word, optionally with the sentence it was found in, and Jotword writes its card: the word's meaning in the learner's own language, its phonetic transcription and example sentences. The FSRS scheduler then brings each card back shortly before it would be forgotten, so the gaps between reviews grow as a word sticks.
Jotword runs in the browser and is free to use with five new words a day. Its website is available in 26 languages.
